Grace S. Gavric, DDS

Dr. Grace S. Gavric completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she received her B.S. degree in Biology. She then received her D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Gavric completed an ADA accredited General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. This residency provided Dr. Gavric with invaluable exposure to every aspect of general dentistry with an emphasis on hospital-based dentistry, oral surgery and implant dentistry. Dr. Gavric has practiced in the Atlanta area since 2005. She provides comprehensive dental care which includes treatment in preventive dentistry, esthetic restorative dentistry, non-surgical periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, implant restorative dentistry and Botox. Dr. Gavric understands the importance of providing high quality dental care with a sense of compassion and strives to make each visit comfortable and relaxing.

Dr. Gavric and her husband, Nenad, are the proud parents of two sons, Adrian and Mason, who attend Pace Academy. They reside in Buckhead and enjoy traveling in their spare time, watching their kids’ sporting events and the Atlanta parks.

Joseph F. Alvarez, DDS

Dr. Alvarez’s journey began in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas.  Dr. Alvarez received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from The University of Texas School of Dentistry San Antonio in 1986 and moved to Atlanta shortly thereafter.  By 1990, he purchased his first dental practice in Smyrna.

Friends and family are important to Dr. Alvarez and he enjoys spending time with them. His laid-back, easy-going nature belies a busy schedule that includes participating on co-ed softball and flag football teams and playing golf.  He has also built a thriving wine store and wine bar from the ground floor with his brother, Anthony. In his spare time, he loves his hobbies of woodworking and landscaping.

Ryan Dagen, DDS

Dr. Dagen completed undergraduate studies at Rhodes College, receiving his B.S. degree in Biology, and then his D.D.S. degree from the University of Tennessee. After graduation Dr. Dagen completed a General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. Dr. Dagen practiced in Memphis for six years prior to moving to Atlanta, where he continues to provide comprehensive dental care. Dr. Dagen enjoys getting to know his patient’s goals and concerns. Helping patients overcome their anxieties about the dentist remains one of Dr. Dagen’s favorite aspects of dentistry.

Dr. Dagen remains close to his family and friends in Memphis, enjoys travelling and exploring all that Georgia has to offer.

Robert A. Kerr, DDS – Retired

Dr. Robert A. Kerr earned his D.D.S. degree from Emory University in 1979, and prior to that had attained a B.S. degree in Biology from the College of William and Mary. Shortly after graduating from dental school, he married his wife, Holly. They moved to Montgomery, AL, where Dr. Kerr practiced for three years as part of the Air Force Dental Corp at Maxwell Air Force Base. Dr. Kerr grew up mostly in Tampa, and Holly in Joliet, IL. However, they both were drawn back to Atlanta where they have resided since 1982. Dr. Kerr has practiced in the Buckhead and Cumberland/Galleria areas at a few different locations, and he is very happy to be in his present location because of the spaciousness and high-tech features of the practice. Dr. Kerr’s main focus is restorative treatment, including crowns, bridges, composite tooth-colored fillings, and restoration of dental implants. He is constantly cognizant of doing his best to make every visit as comfortable as possible for each patient.

Dr. Kerr and Holly are the parents of two grown sons, Andy and Alec, and the grandparents of one grandson (so far)!

Dr. Kerr is grateful for all of the wonderful patients that have trusted him over the years, and he feels fortunate to be surrounded by a staff of skilled and caring dental professionals.

Laura Webb – Office Manager

Laura has been with Gavric Dental Associates for 15 wonderful years. She considers our patients as family. Her sunny disposition and caring nature will greet you on the phone and at the door.

Laura is a 4th generation Atlantan. She lives in Canton, Georgia, with her husband, Zack, beautiful daughter, Grace, and fur babies Tallulah and Poppy.

Anita Aspnes-Neff – Front Desk

Anita has been in the dental field for over 20 years and has worked in both the front and back of the office. She enjoys helping patients have a positive dental experience. Originally from California, she now lives in Buckhead.  She has a grown son who lives in Florida. She likes traveling, walking (especially by the river), reading and being with her pets.

Krystle Smith – Front Desk

Krystle is the friendly face at the front desk. She loves to find ways to help people smile and that includes building confidence to share their smile!  She is happy to answer your questions, plan for appointments, help resolve concerns and make your visits positive.

Krystle is new to Georgia and was born and raised in the small town of Newark, Ohio. Currently residing in Acworth, she enjoys being outdoors, meeting new people and discovering all the great things Georgia has to offer!

Jena Green – RDH

Jena is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She received her Associate Degree in Biology from Gainesville College and went on to attend Floyd College for her Dental Hygiene Degree. Jena graduated from Floyd College in 2000 and has been practicing in the Atlanta area for over 10 years. She joined our practice in March of 2005 and has enjoyed getting to know our patients and caring for them and their families.

Jena is a Georgia native and grew up in Cohutta, Georgia, which is just outside of Dalton.  Jena and her husband, Jameson, currently reside in Dallas with their two boys, Brooks and Bryson. They now enjoy spending their weekends at the ballfields.

Amanda Lang – RDH

Amanda graduated from Georgia Highlands College in 2006 with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist and joined our practice in April of 2007. She will always greet you with a smile. She enjoys interacting with her patients and educating them on oral health topics. As a hygienist, she tries to ensure each patient leaves with a bright and healthy smile.

Amanda is a native of Cobb County where she still resides today with her husband, Andrew. She has two wonderful dogs. Amanda loves traveling with her husband and enjoys volunteering and supporting local charities. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Tara O’Neill – RDH

Tara graduated from Clayton State University with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been in the dental field for 7 years and has been enjoying practicing with Dr. Kerr and Dr. Gavric since 2015.

Tara grew up in McDonough, GA and moved to the Powder Springs area in 2015 to be with her now husband, Tim, and dog, Brutus. She loves to stay active through running and weightlifting as well as playing volleyball.

Joni Burkhart – RDH

Joni graduated in 2008 with a degree in dental hygiene from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia. Joni enjoys helping patients understand the importance of oral health. She loves making sure every patient leaves with a bright, healthy smile.

In her free time, she trains and competes locally in Olympic Weightlifting. She enjoys painting, trying new restaurants and live music. Joni has one fur baby, a shih tzu, named Isabella.

Marcy Heflin – RDH

Marcy received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Georgia State University. She has recently joined our practice, and her warm and easygoing demeanor ensures each patient feels comfortable throughout their dental visit. Marcy enjoys providing our patients with individualized recommendations for home care after a personalized assessment at each visit. You will leave feeling confident that you understand what must be done to achieve optimal oral health.

Marcy is a native of Louisiana and moved to Georgia in 2005. She resides in Marietta with her husband, Jeff, and two children, Chloe and Joseph. Marcy is a Girl Scout Troop Leader and enjoys swimming, hiking and game nights with her family and friends.
